With an appreciation of property and how deals are structured, the Real Estate industry has been a career of choice for me since 1999. I spend most of my life prior to Real Estate on the family farm in the Manitoto, before moving to South Canterbury for a short period and then Wanaka in early 1999.
In 2002, my company was offered the Bayleys Realty Group franchise for Wanaka. Mat Andrews Real Estate Ltd now operates in a shareholding partnership with Bayleys’ largest South Island franchisee, Whalan and Partners, which owns Bayleys Canterbury. Our business has continued to blossom and Bayleys is now considered a very popular and well respected real estate company in Wanaka.
Operating in a growing but still relatively small property market, it has been essential for me to develop skills and knowledge across all market sectors. As a result I have been involved in the sale of farms, commercial buildings, land developments, project marketing, residential and bare land sales. I have completed around 400 transactions in the Upper Clutha region and have consistently placed in the Bayleys Realty Group top 5% of agents nationally. The result of hard work on behalf of many clients.
Being involved in real estate has given me a wonderful opportunity to meet a wide variety of people and business colleagues and many have become friends and have continued to complete numerous transactions with me.
My philosophy is to enjoy the real estate experience, provide an open minded opinion and work hard for Vendors and Purchasers, helping both parties to a totally satisfactory result. Experience counts for everything in the real estate business and I am committed to passing on my knowledge to assist my many and varied clients in any way I can.
